Finished my first encaustic piece! I have been doing a lot of thinking and researching; trying to find something different to do with my photography. I don't remember exactly how, but I stumbled across something called Encaustic. There are so many possibilities with this! Most of all, I love the fact that I can do something with my hands rather than just sitting on my computer for hours on end, editing photos.
Three photographs are mounted to three panels, finished with encaustic medium (beeswax & damar resin) and oil pigment. This felt good. I think I'll keep experimenting with this!
Thanks again to Andrew for doing a great job with the wood pallet frame. Looks great as a finished piece!
