I have always been interested in behind the scenes kind of stuff. I actually think it makes me appreciate the artist that much more when I see what is involved. So I wanted to show a few photos of how I finished my newest photo encaustic piece. I was a little nervous to invest in a bigger piece (20"x30") but I think it came out well for my first try at it!
This was a 20"x30" photo mounted on a birch wood panel. I then painted it with encaustic medium and pigments and had it finished in a beautiful wood pallet frame made by Andrew Singer.
